What first sparked your passion for design?

Growing up in various countries due to my father’s role as a diplomat meant I never had a permanent “home” (which I loved), but eventually, I longed for a place that felt truly my own, not just somewhere temporary. This experience ignited my passion to design spaces where people can feel at home, whether residential or commercial. Each project should be tailored to meet the unique needs of the client.

Who is your biggest design inspiration?

Travel and nature are my greatest sources of inspiration. Both have given me the freedom to explore my ideas in new ways, helping me visualise spaces more uniquely. Just as different experiences evoke emotion, travel and nature continually spark my creativity.

How would you describe your style in 3 words?

Explorative, innovative, and functional.

What made you apply to the National Design Academy?

I had already completed two courses at NDA; The Interior Design for Your Home Online Short Course and the Interior Design Software Course (Online Via Zoom), which I thoroughly enjoyed. They deepened my love for interior design, so continuing with NDA felt like the natural next step.

What is the most unexpected thing you have learned from the course?

The business plan module (Module 7) has been the most unexpected and exciting part of the course. It has been a fascinating learning experience, and I’m eager to keep developing my business plan further.

What was your favourite course module and why?

Module 3 is definitely my favourite. I loved the challenge of remodelling a historic building and transforming it into something even more impactful.

What's your favourite project that you have worked on?

It’s difficult to pick a single favourite as each project has been special to me for different reasons. I’ve gained so much from each one, and they’ve all contributed to my growth as a designer.

What advice would you give to potential National Design Academy students?

I’d tell them to take their time and make the course as creative as possible. Treat it like an exciting scavenger hunt through the world of interior design, full of endless possibilities. Don’t just be stuck behind a desk—embrace the journey and enjoy every step!

When you complete your course, what next?

I’m keen to gain as much experience as I can, learning from different environments. My ultimate goal is to start my own business, creating an interior design warehouse and studio, where I can put everything I’ve learned into practice.
