Step 1: Create the Loops
Start by winding the ribbon around your middle and index fingers. For a fuller bow, create three loops over your middle finger and two over your index finger.
Step 2: Position the Ribbon
Flip your hand over so that your palm is facing upwards, keeping the loops intact.
Step 3: Tuck the Ribbon
Take the excess ribbon and tuck it through the centre of the loops, between your middle and index fingers.
Step 4: Form the Bow
Bring the ribbon up and over, toward you, still with your palm facing up. This will form the base of your bow.
Step 5: Secure the Bow
Take the excess ribbon and tuck it under the loop you formed in Step 3. This helps tighten the bow.
Step 6: Tighten and Finish
Carefully tighten the bow, then gently lift your fingers out. Trim the ends of the ribbon to create a pointed triangle shape, which is classic for Christmas bows.
